Asian Cooking Classes in New York - Private / Corporate Classes & Events
This is a long-overdue page that answers the FAQs I get regarding the various types of cooking classes I teach in NY. In addition to the group classes that I've taught for the past 8 years at ICE, Brooklyn Brainery, and the Brooklyn Kitchen—upcoming classes can be found on the right sidebar—I also do private classes for birthdays and other occasions, private events, and company team-building events or parties. Past company clients have included Kickstarter, AirBnB, American Express, and West Elm.
Some popular Chinese, Japanese, and Pan-Asian classes and events from the past few years:
Dumplings & Wontons
Intro to Sushi-Making
Sichuan Cooking
Dim Sum
Chinese-Indian Vegetarian
Chinese Vegetarian
Gluten-Free Chinese
Japanese Home Cooking
What past class participants had to say:
"Diana taught our team of about 20 designers, developers, and content strategists how to make dumplings. As a group activity, it was fantastic because everyone can participate and it allows a way for everyone to see each other's strengths in a different way than the usual work day. The class's mix of instruction and hands-on making is great too. Everyone had a chance to learn, make, and of course eat together." ~ Miles Begin, American Express UX & Design
"Diana is a great host and a knowledgable chef. Bringing her class to our office was a delicious way to spend quality time with coworkers." ~ Justin Jones, Kickstarter
If you're interested in private classes, please email me at dianakuan (at) gmail (dot) com for details and current rates. Classes for individuals and small groups can be done in your home or other location of choice, and groups 8+ can be held onsite or at our classroom/events places in Prospect Heights or Carroll Gardens.
